Temptation Poem by martha shaw

Temptation

Underneath the desire,
nothing can take you higher.
Wondering dreams found,
just look around.
Never dare to escape,
let passion take it's shape.
In a tender soft instance,
just don't think of pain.
And let the unthinkable explain.
Feel it inside,
and you can only decide.
It's like a burning flame,
never was it a game.

I like your poem. Passion has consequences and people should not use others or play around with their emotions. Nothing is sadder than to give of yourself body and soul to someone who takes, then belittles you and walks away. I see great disrespect of both men and women in the world today, and it is like a wound that will never heal.
