Temporary Insanity Poem by Nicole Baker

Temporary Insanity

Rating: 5.0

lost in the words you tell me are true
confused as in why we are through
you said you never leave me
and yet your gone
gone to something else so vile, so untrue
once i couldn't see the game you play
now its hard not to see past it
you played me for a fool
and you still think i will be there
waiting as if nothing ever happened
but that's where you are wrong
i've left a while ago
i just find it hard to let go
of the things i had no control over
i find it hard to let a friend go
in those words
i can see you for what you truly are
a player
i fell for you
and you never cease to amazing
but who can i blame?
only me for liking you
for falling for those lies that i thought were true
those words i thought were only between me and you
A PLAYER
all the heads turn to you
everyone learns to just trust you
and who can we blame?
we are the ones who made you
i was wrong to fall for you
i plea Temporary insanity
never again will you find something so great
something so true
but you lost your chance at something so great
you lost it for the game you play
