Colours Poem by Nicole Baker

Colours

Rating: 4.5

The sea is not just blue. It's array of greens, turquoises with a shimmer of gold when the sunlight hits the surface.
The grass is not just green from each and individual blade. There can be little drops of rainbows from dew in the early morning.
The sun is not just some flaming yellow ball in the sky. It has a mixture of gold, red and orange emblazed in its surface.
Colours don't just come in the ordinary red, blue and yellow. They come in a palette of shades. Look closely at that red rose and you will notice that there is a hint on purple indented in the petals. Wake up and smell those brown and black coffee beans and look at the colours of the world in a different light.
Colours. They are too beautiful for this world sometimes.

...and colours aren't 'just colours' when they're in a poem as beautiful as this. S :)
