Temple Poem by Tony Adams

Temple

I stand in silence before your doors
Knocking softly as before
They swing wide and reveal to me
Your strength of personality

I walk in and sense the pride
Of time well spent on what's inside
I sense the pictures of the past
Muted slightly, but they will last

Gently swaying side-to-side
Moving with your unseen tides
I kneel humbly upon your floor
Reflecting on what was before

I pray for knowledge of what is to come
Seeking purpose like the sun
A steady calm soothes my mind
As I glow and sense the sign

I know-what is shall always be
For I am to you what you are to me

I rise from off your floor
Walking softly as before
I bow to honor you once more
As I close your temple doors
