Tell Me Why? Poem by Ashley Fortin

Changed in an instant, your thoughts were.
I don't remember them clearly though, they were all a blurr.
Tears to thick to see, but I remember your words.
You had given back, a treason to me.
It was all I had to hear, I didn't have to see.
The ones you once loved, to close were we.
The thoughts of possiblities dance in my head, I wished you just tell me so I could go to bed.
I can't sleep for a moment, the questions burning deep through what you said.
I just want to know why, please tell me... this makes me cry.
You haven't answered me yet, but it seems I already know.
I already brace myself for your words, the harshest blow.
Cause everytime I close my eyes, I will always know.
If you tell me now, I will always remember you as this.
Please tell me why your leaving, it is you I will miss.
