Teens A- Flame Poem by me poet yeps poet

Teens A- Flame

I have composed many poems
for the teens
they think
I am mad

go ahead and never blinked
when the girl has
been surely
white inked

the guys flunk
gals seemingly get sunk

then they come running to me
see what he's done

I said I am blind now
then you were
when I warned you

All want to learn
that a flame can burn
only when their finger
is placed
in the flickering
heated hotty candle

Since then I have stopped warning
teens
they say oldy go
we ALLknow...

so let them the worlds routine follow
and ensure
training
on - the -job
when mind becomes hollow
moment of joy
for some
for a life time
for many a
sorrow

Nice write! ~ This reminds me of some lyrics from a Corinne Bailey Rae song Till it happens to you. She says Don't you dare tell them what to think or do till they get over. You can only learn these things from experience - when you get older. When you get older you'll understand. I just wish that someone would've told me.
