Tears That Fall Like Raindrops Poem by David Harris

Tears That Fall Like Raindrops

Rating: 5.0

With tears that fall like raindrops,
that tap against my windowpane.
I sit here with a broken heart,
wondering if it will ever mend again.
The tears are for a love one,
who has gone far away.
Saying as they left I won’t be back
again forever and a day.

Forever is a long time,
and I wonder if my heart
will ever last that long.
They say that I must be strong,
but it is not them hurting so.
Only time can tell,
how long my heart will ache,
but in the meantime, life marches on.

Sometimes we have to turn the page to a fresh new chapter. Not always easy of, course, as a broken heart is so difficult. I guess most of us have been there sometime in our lives. If this is your life, I hope you can make that transition, David! God bless! Marilyn

In the meantime, life marches on..... I view this poem a sad one, , but after all, there is a stinge of hope for the better..well, David, life must go on.. i love this, it really touches my heart, questioning, waiting for a reply...and at the same time, hoping.. thanks David...thank you for this sharing.. hugs, Meggie
