Tears In The Sun

It’s sunny, yet I’m crying now
Weeping, for souls still lost
For those failing their knees to bow
To He who paid sin’s cost

The shame, their consciences must bear
Forever and a day
Lest Salvation comes to share
Healing hell’s plague away

For these I weep, because of love
Because I care so much
Praying for Christ life’s King above
Their foolish hearts to touch

For wisdom, their minds to caress
Knowledge to show their loss
Their still blind eyes, God’s Son confess
Dying on Calvary’s Cross

Will my God these tears not see?
Not feel, how much I care
Consider still more to free
His Selfless love to share

Just as it was, not long ago
Before grace came to me
Before my heart through Heaven’s flow
Knew Jesus’ mystery

For me, someone else had prayed
Other souls have cried
For sins themselves, Jesus had paid
Before His blood had dried

While the bible spreads love’s pages
While grace may still be found
Seek Jesus, Life’s Rock of Ages
To dwell on Holy Ground…..
