i sit beside you today
you seem crying in dismay
how could those eyes be in tears
when it was so bright all this years....

i know that you are strong enough
why is it now i can't see you laugh
all you've painted is a gloomy face
seem so full of excruciating pain and distress...

can't you smile again even for a moment
be gentle once more and be heaven sent
touch my soul, my heart and my life
end your tears, fill the air with love tonight....
