Taiye Poem by Adams King

Taiye

Rating: 5.0

In my sleepy shade you hide
Where the soul of motionless body ride
Chased away by the rising sun
And left me with a glimpse when it's dawn

O Taiye! When will I see your face
I might have hold you but when will I do so
When I'm awake
When will I behold you with my conscious eyes

Reveal your beauty to me
And spring out from the sleepy shade
In which you conceal your real self
To make my dream became reality

How long shall you veil yourself
Leaving me behind with failures of dreams
Loneliness has been my sickness for long
At night not but to grow them more

When has the cockcrow please my ears
That I shall rise for you to fall
When has the morning ever blessed my soul
That I shall wake for you to sleep

O Taiye my dream lover
May the gods of our fathers bring you to me
For my years to become a groom are but few
How much more will I reminisce on dreams

Haven't your beauty stole my heart
That I see no one else but you
Who! Who can be compared to you Taiye
For you are my best and perfect bride

In my sleepy shade there you are
Close to me when I sleep but when I wake far
Everyday I live longing for your coming
O Taiye your are my dearest darling
