Symphony Poem by Kate Kate

Symphony

Rating: 5.0

Words flow like musical notes softly picked on the strings of a guitar
Creating the most serene of verse

The voice creates the rhythm
The tone makes the mood
The words control the melody
The outcome, the most breath taking symphony

So play me a song

The University of Minnesota's student orchestra is performing Mahler's immense Symphony No.2 Resurrection for free on Sat. May 3. I'm going to be sitting in the front of the auditorium. I was curious about how your poem would handle the subject of SYMPHONY. Well, in your poem it's not the big orchestra, but rather a tender, intimate, serene (that's your word) sharing between two people, one listening creatively, the other performing creatively, and both utterly charmed by the harmony of sound (that's the root meaning of SYMPHONY) . Your poem charms!
