Swords Beat To Plowshares

Swords beat to plowshares
No more war technology
Plights of greed cured
Africa out of chains
Damaged nations rise
Peace and health emphasized
All people know love has won

Now new plagues from GMO’s
Now great military demons
Now clones and Frankenstein
Now greed and mammon
Soon the great wars
Soon the world boot to the head
My kingdom is not of this world

I wait for a better day when
Swords will be beat to plowshares

Poem of the Day

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
She came from very far
