Like a story of Jonah in the belly of a fish,
So I began my existing in mother’s belly,
And from that date her love never shift,
This I knew yet still a fetus in her womb,
Her womb as of Heaven in embryo,
Until the cry of baby was heard,
Then I saw the light of day shone brightly in a cloudless sky,
But her face as of the face of a travailed mother,
Despite her pains she smiles at me with unspeakable joy,
Her eyes were shining with excitement,
And her pains vanished as of smoke in the air.
Oh, what a great joy of motherhood!
Nothing as sweet like the mother’s milk,
Hmm! The sweetest milk from the mother’s breasts,
More nutritious than which ever food,
What a gift from Heaven!
And she modes me in the fear of the Lord,
Oh my sweet mother!
Loving you is like food to my soul,
Been around you is been around the world,
Seeing you is like seeing myself in a mirror,
What a one in million are you!
I derive joy from your happiness,
Dear mother just to show that I care.
DEDICATED TO ALL MOTHERS.
