Sweet Lady Poem by Ray Hansell

Sweet Lady

Of all the woman that I've loved
All the woman I have known
Please know that it was always you
Where I found a home

From the first day that we met
In my heart I knew
That when it came to loving me
There's nothing you wouldn't do

You were always there
When I needed you
For me there was no one else
Who could do what you could do

All the things you did for me
Yet, you never once complained
When I know there were times
When our relationship was strained

But soon we both could see
The light at the end
But I made it through
With the help of my best friend
