Surviver Poem by Sumit Ganguly

Surviver

Rating: 5.0

An old hawk swoops on the branch of a tree
And waits for a drama to unfurl soon.
First sun makes a wake up call
Small insects flock in a green field,
They dance and sing and have breakfasts.
A tiger-bug is hungry too
He comes, gets food and plays with preys.
A toad was on his morning walk.
He stops to watch and taste the bug.
What a coincidence!
A passing snake is quick to act
The bulky toad now rests in snake
And the snake is moving like a snail.
A flying kite then finds its prey
And swoops at a lightning speed.
Lo, the snake is dangling in its claws.
Some crows chase the intruder
And the hawk now raises both of his eyes.
