Survival Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Survival

Remember deer
When we left the forest
Wild nature followed us
How could it leave its children?

Among us, in the concrete jungle,
Are foxes, jackals, lions and tigers
Lurking in quiet street corners
Shadowy places, abandoned buildings

So be nimble-footed
Keep all your senses alert
If you want to survive
The eternal game of prey-predator

Agree. Pedators are all around.in the natural habitat animals have developed survival instinct.but in a concret jungle predators are pretentious, deceiving n prey discretely.the only difference between the two animals is that the latter claims itself Supreme n Civilised.nice one
