Surrender Poem by Jacquelyn Burge

Surrender

Rating: 4.0

From the thorns on the trees,
cutting through my eyes at one glance,
Travels down,
Cutting scars under my skin,
impacting my heart with a bleeding rain of tears,

I scream in surrender,
to the pain at which has enveloped my heart,
and the darkness that consumes my soul.

I surrender to the reality,
That once a heart is borken,
the scars will always be there
