I watch as days fly by

So fast, the feeling so surreal

Hardly a need to cry

Nothing negative to feel

At least that's what I want you to think.

Spending days with friends

So many plans to arrange

Hating that car rides and sad songs have ends

Nothing about this life I should want to interchange

And further I sink

—

Though there's no reason for it

Sorrow consumes me

Deep within I feel a split

A darkness through which I cannot see

And as I struggle I feel my fight shrink
