Sunset Melody Poem by M A R K G O U L D

Sunset Melody

When the dawn flies up and the evening comes,
As the moon stares off with the setting sun,
When the stars and clouds glow golden grey,
They sing their song till break of day.

Remember the melodies soft and sweet,
As the angel’s kiss your face to sleep.
Never forget whom you come from,
Till the dead rise up from the setting son.

The king harps once to the dancing clay
He wipes the old man’s tears away
His melody flows golden grey
They sing his song till break of day.

Remember the melodies soft and sweet,
As the angels kiss your face to sleep.
Never forget whom you come from,
Till the dead rise up from the setting Son.

A man alone in darkness cries,
As the sun goes down and daylight dies,
He remembers days of melodies sweet,
As he feels the steel in hands and feet,

Remember the melodies soft and sweet,
As the angels kiss your face to sleep.
Never forget my dearest son,
As the dawn flies up and the evening come.
