You played with words
they became
your master
your king
you gave them
all you had
but they never
gave you a thing
you were crazy to think
you could fool
all the people
standing in the crowd
they made you
come out of your shell
and speak out loud
you never
broke the law
but you knew
just how to commit the crime
you were afraid
of them
afraid of the pain
in their eyes
they didn't want you to
tell them the truth
they only wanted
to hear you
tell them lies!
