Summer Spirit Poem by David J Bryson

Summer Spirit

Endless English summer days are fast approaching now,
When birds proclaim a cool, clear morn
And riotous flowers will adorn
A landscape lush, mature and sweet,
Vitality complete.

Untainted skies, so deep, so blue,
The sound of water trickling through,
And laughter on a warming breeze,
The crimson sunset through the trees.

Oh hurry splendid Summertime!
Uplift this heavy heart of mine,
And then I shall have even more
To thank our dear Creator for.
