Suicide Watch Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Suicide Watch

If love were only real and something you could feel
If 'stories' had no endings and life were always kind
I'd give away my feelings- Always share my needing
Somehow I am, believing- Nothing is alive

If hearts are always broken when hateful words are spoken
How can a lovely memory ever come to life
Why must hate, always be in season- I'm searching for a reason
Tell me why we suffer just before we die

I remember being warm, in sunlight by the shore
It gave me such a feeling that life was really fine
So where has gone this feeling- My reason for believing
I'm just searching for some reason
To keep myself alive
