Success Poem by PARTHA SARATHI PAUL

Success

You shed tears for what!
Are you not light in the light-
in such happy and high flight?

Passed by so many a year
just to kiss on your forehead so
dear!

Look at the glistening sweat beads
wreathed on my forehead skin folds.

How come then you shed so many tears
with your head decked with yellow roses!

Walked the way that came under my feet
walked along and on with all life's might.

Deep in my heart your bright face
heard the echo of proud preface
paced my steps to the long and hard race
not to be rewarded with such a grimace!

Will your shed tears turn to pearls
to play with my life red corals?

Hard I wish I could see your smiles
on the honeycomb like the busy bees
on nightly canopy like the twinkling stars like the happy union between the Venus and the Mars!
like the Sun that never goes blind
in the Earth in summer daytime
like the Moon that fights a night
like the Jupiter perennial bright!
