Today we talked
Talked about things
That didn’t mean anything to me
But it’s so much easier to talk about nothing
Than talk about something
The things I really wanted to say I kept inside
How could I tell you the truth?
That you mean more to me than anything or anyone else right now?
Stupid words are easier and so much safer
I panicked and I left
Leaving you thinking I was just in a bad mood
But there was so much more
That I couldn’t say
