I wish I was a stupid,
Stupid as can be
Stupid enough to ignore it all -
Overlook all the pain
I wish I wasn't so clever,
So clever as to feel
Sadness is as great as it's recognized
I'd rather my wits blind
I wish I were carefree and happy
That I just no longer cared
Stupid enough to ignore it all
Yet clever enough to be stupid
