Stronger Poem by Elizabeth Fletcher

Stronger

Among a sea of pain I stand
All alone and knowing no one will hold my hand
The tide begins to quickly rise
I can feel that soon my sorrow will cover my eyes
They say hope is fleeting but mine is gone
I cry till the horizon is threatened by the dawn
I see the stars in the sky shine
And I wonder when this life will once again be mine
I suffer more than you know
More hurt do I bear than I will ever show
But I will continue to press on
Long after you're gone
As a hopeless hopefull I will continue on longer
Because what doesnt kill me only makes me stronger
