Strong Independent Woman Poem by Alison Eeles

Strong Independent Woman

Oh strong independent woman,
You are more than you were meant to be.
You are brighter than the stars and stronger than the earth.
You are the moon and you are the rivers, that flow within us all.
You are more than your parents expected, and more than many people that you meet deserve.
You are beauty and you are love and you are light.
You have never been defined by your pain, instead you used your pain to make you stronger, to make you softer.
You let your pain wash over you..
You let it fill every corner of your beautiful soul..
But you saw the darkness of your pain and you called it light.
You saw and heard your pain, and you empathised with where it came from.
You forgave it and you loved it.
You understood that it too was suffering.
And you wished it nothing but love and reminded it that it was a choice to hurt. You reminded it that it was free.. if it so wanted to be.
Oh strong independent woman,
You have never been defined by your pain because you refused to call it names,
Instead you reminded it of its beauty and its potential.
You gave it freedom, you gave it love, you gave it a chance, and you made it light ❤️🥀💫✨🌍🌛🙏🏻😊
