Stripes Poem by Hazel Connelly

Stripes

Rating: 5.0

There's beauty in stripes
Black on white, white on black
Stripes everywhere, legs
Face, body and back
You look just like a horse
Deepest black and purest white
A simple pattern of camoulflage
In those Zebra stripes
An optical illusion, a mirage.

Stripes do lead to optical illusions. Vertical Stripes on a shirt make you look taller. Horizontal (or hoops) make you look shorter. Fascinating subject and a fascinating poem. Well done, Hazel. Tom Billsborough
