Strength And Wisdom To Humanity, In The Coming Year 2013: Poem by Rev. Surujlall Motilall

Grant us the strength from day to day,
to bear all what burdens come our way.
Grant to us throughout this New Year,
more to serve you and less to fear.

Help us to live with endurance may be,
from spite, sorrow and malice to free.
Let us not bitterly explain to complain,
when cherished hopes of ours in vain.

Or spoil with deeds of hate and rage,
fearing tomorrow's spotless rampage.
Lord, as the days shall come and go,
in courage let us in strength to grow.

Lord, as the New Year dawns of today,
help us to put all our faults away.
Let us grow in all little things,
grant us joy that friendship brings.

Keep us from selfishness and in spite,
let us be wise for all that are right.
A happy New Year that opens our sight,
which bring no tear to human's fright.

When this New Year in time shall end,
let it be for us who played the friend.
We have lived, loved and laboured here,
which we have made to us a happy year.
