Strange Passage Poem by derrick foster

Strange Passage

I read my favorite book
as the train flies high above where she was lain(in Death)
on the river now frozen near the area known as DUMBO
down deep below somewhere under the water she remains(in ash)
beneath the isle I cherish
somewhere out there her spirit flows
(in the universe) I feel her energy
funny, I'd always wanted her to visit my city
it cost less in death by post than on a plane in the living
each time i take that train ride over to DUMBO
i can be near her (in spirit)
while doing my favorite thing.
