Stones On The Street Poem by Alexandra Motschmann

Stones On The Street

We pick up the stone on our way
And time it takes to do so
Every stone carried away
Leads to a different path to go
It doesn’t matter not at all

Every lost second just a gain
Not a waste or gap to fall
Nor shall we see it as pain
Astonishment and new adventures
Provoked by this stony trace
Encourages new views and pleasures
Neglecting time and creating space

An opal here, a diamond there
And many reflections on the road
