Stone Poem by Zog Gascoigne

Stone

im laying here
on hard cold stone
laying here where they left me
and im all alone
just me and the stone.

no-one sees me
no-one cares to look
it’s as if ive ceased to be
like the words of an ancient old book
gone forever

people just walk past
again and again
and im laying here wondering how long it will last
laying here with nothing to do but hate, hate men

men who chained me
men who rained abuse galore
men who refuse to see
men who always want more
than they really need

so im laying here
on hard cold stone
laying here where they left me
and im all alone
just me and the stone

and deep inside im howling
howling at the moon

and there’s a voice in my head
of a friend long dead
he’s comforting me
and taming the wolf
“Don’t worry moony, it’ll be over soon”

(Just a little something i thought of from Remus Lupin's POV)
