Stillborn Baby Boy Poem by Karen Thornburg

Stillborn Baby Boy

Like a living tomb
Lifeless body held inside
I laid in bed and cried.

Nother month I carried you
Without a name you died
Me you’re living Tomb.

Taken without eyes set on you
My pregnancy Gods lie
I laid in bed and cried.

My joy away it flew
In the twinkling of an eye
With you held in the living tomb.

Lifeless body wrapped in blue
Mother never held or kissed goodbie
Full of grief I laid in bed and cried.

Finally I grieve for thee
My stillborn baby boy
Still an empty living tomb
I lay in bed and cry.
