Still Life Poem by Tan Pratonix

Still Life

Rating: 3.8

On a white porcelain plate
A bunch of green translucent grapes,
Two Washington apples with a knife -
Scene from still life.

Yellow bananas poking out
Of a bamboo wicker bowl,
Firm, sleek-skinned, glowing -
Lighting up the soul.

In a saucer, sitting tight,
A dark purple plum
(Swelling with pride)
Screams for a bite.

You are making me feel hungry! The descriptions are sharp and evocative. Great idea for a poem, Tan.
