Stepping Stones Poem by Adrianne Granger

Stepping Stones

Each misstep is a step forward,
Each failure is a teacher,
The hurdles that now tug you backward,
Are Nike's ardent preachers.

The stones that block your path today,
Will construct the steps to the top.
The ravines that now dissect your way,
Will later prevent a steep drop.

The dark that has consumed your way,
Has obstructed your sight,
Will become your greatest ally one day
In your search for light.
