Stay A Little Longer, O My Love. Poem by Ramit Chakraborty

Stay A Little Longer, O My Love.

Rating: 5.0

Stay;
Stay a little longer, O my love;
Everyone has left, at least you, stay;
With me a little longer,
Watch the stars spread love,
Their vague, quivering light so constant, faithful!
Watch the flowers whispering secrets to each other,
Undulating their colorful heads in the serenading monochrome of night,
Hear the muffled symphonies,
The unuttered pains, sorrows,
The never-expressed wishes, groaning for long in my heart,
The soft merrymaking of fireflies, weaving fluorescent wreaths in air,
Their joy is so pure, so boundless, so free,
Like the ripples of water on a sunny day,
When you reminesce about your broken, unfulfilled dreams,
Could your love be like that, my love?
So faithful, pure, boundless! ! !
