Starving Thirst Of You Poem by JoAnn McGrath

Starving Thirst Of You

Starving Thirst Of You

There is this starving thirst for you
And senses must be pursued
An ache that goes beyond the pain
and stronger then the driving rain
Persistent as a hunger crave
Wanting what it was you gave
How unaware you are of me
Love no longer in your vocabulary
You think a heart that's starved and cold
Never or could love so bold
Desire is built into a man
Alone is not in God's plan
So I must wait with patient heart
Till your worry and fears depart
Then my senses can be pursued
and quench this starving thirst of you
