Startled Love Poem by Tshiamo Ngwenya

Startled Love

I still seeking in the million stars
Willing and hoping that you one of them.
The night is life without you
The silent tease
To how I seem to fly in one wing.
Love holds me high
A bit more that gravity distant from life,
A sudden pattern
That gives a song without a sound
Words I must have misunderstood for love,
But enabled to reach my expectations
And inspire sad love poems.
A sun rise leaving burns behind
Yet i still sing patience
And hope for your gentle touch.
In every avenue,
The roads i have taken in search of you
I find my mind stuck in bewilderment,
Heart heavy to tell love into your face
And my fears to sleep at your absence,
And just how much of magic i get from the little that you give
Only to realize that you starring at someone else rather than myself.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
She loved you along with your flaws, sacrificed and appreciated the little things you had, gave into your expectations only to realize that you moving her back seemed to much to ask for, and so she had to love you even when you loved someone else.
