Star Flower Poem by olawale famodun

Star Flower

Star flower, I
See you in my eyes
Cry wild
In the darkled sky.
I don’t want to be
A somebody
I want to be a
No body or Nobody,
Glare up there
If you could.
Change the accent
Let the improvisation
Sound mildly different.
The heat
Would tender away
On your fingertips,
Don’t hear any noise
Hear nothing; no sound,
Keep the cool going
As no one
Wants it.
You want to hobnob with people?
You better stay
Stealthily away from them.
No enemy
Wants to see
You ignoring them,
Don’t you know?
Keep glaring, baby: keep blooming.
