Stalker Poem by Shanike Sydoney Palmer

Stalker

Rating: 3.5

There is a memory so utter
It gobbles up the present
Plastic coat it with a fog's mist
So comparison cant breathe
Within - without
As one would sing their song
it withers gently by the cleansing
of the breeze
And where then can glory be made
Within that one memory - that single note of pain
Some say we will end in despair
Others say with a broken heart
But no-
They didn't tell us of this
Invisible stalker that chases on wings
Into our future
Philosophy, oh then plead with it
Make art with it
This memory that rages.
