Stalemate Poem by adam reed

Stalemate

Rating: 4.8

our hearts make us who we are
i feel the sin in mine
our deeds are our masks
and I've a grand disguise
it seems always a stalemate
in my endless fight
i dont feel the good
no matter how i try
i choke back the evil
through willpower alone
and i pray god will cleanse me
and purify my soul

Lovely piece of poetry, well articulated, nicely encapsulated and insightfully penned with spiritual insight. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
