St. Patrick's Day Poem by William Burke, S.J.

St. Patrick's Day

Rosy cheeks from Innisfree,
Wild Killarney locks
and Mayo smile,
I do but love you Erin Isle,
I do but love you.

I'll dance today an Irish jig,
and play the pipes
and beat the drum,
St. Patrick's Day I'll celebrate,
then say a prayer for you,
my friend,
then say a prayer for you.

St. Patrick's Day - it's known even in Russia (though men celebrate it more with beer than prayer (sorry) . I watched a movie aboout this saint! he struggled with pagans. Nice poem!
