Squeeze Poem by Jenny Molloy

Squeeze

The smell of burning tires as I hold your hand,
Squeezing your fingers even tighter.
I hold my breath, must keep calm.
The love bugs in the back scream,
You freeze, I look into your eyes,
I see the fear.
I squeeze you hand tighter.
Me and you just falling in to each others eyes,
Just like every thing would be fine.
Over in a matter of seconds,
Noting I can do now.
I wake in the pool of red water,
I feel like I still can’t breath.
All I see are people running towards us,
I can not speak.
Trough all this going’s on,
I still hold your hand.
One last time, for one last second,
I squeeze it a little harder.
