Springtime Poem by Reva Kern

Springtime

Snow and ice have not yet melted
The winter cold has not changed
I traveled beyond many mountains and rivers
And now bid farewell to the day -
Looking forward to the coming of Spring

I look forward to you, Springtime
Looking back on a single moment in time
Of green, a quiet desire
For a full garden of fresh flowers
Completely filling the treetops -
I carry a traveling bag
And sing loudly a springtime song
Returning from a distant place

I look forward to Springtime
Poplars, Willows, floating catkins set free
Jade green grass reaching for the sky
Nevertheless will not bid farewell to song -
Together at the front door
Two flowering cherry trees
In spring - at the same time
Never flower separately
