Spring's Song Of The Wild Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Spring's Song Of The Wild

Springtime brings such magic to view
as no other season can do.

Revitalized, fresh and so beautiful
here comes springtime dancing for you;
children gather mid-April flowers
way down yonder where skies are blue.

Of old English values we never tire,
poems by Wordsworth still live today,
and Parry's music to Blake's Jerusalem
will constantly echo across the Bay.

Suddenly, dramatically, the world is new;
over the hill, the air's clean and sweet.
Primroses bloom with a brilliant hue
and nearby lies a cottage on Lonely Street.

Serenely brightening the woodland trees
spring sun is low and the breeze is mild.
Skylarks perch on the budding boughs
and all nature sings a Song of the Wild.

Springtime brings such magic to view
as no other season can do.

Late October 2008
