Spring Cleaning Poem by Tess Rockenstire

Spring Cleaning

It’s spring! need a cleaning,
The gutter of my cobweb mind.
Dusty old window, crooners egg lit dust mite,
Is playing havoc in the corner of my room.

Inhaling pest getting to my nostrils,
Annoyance of allergen pissing me off -guard.
Itchy eyes, rhinitis anything worse than this?
So I took a pill of Benadryl to ease the symptoms.

Spring cleaning;
Clears up the cobwebs in my mind.
The closet, unused clothes, shoes and child toys.
To charity shall it go, to blessed a needy family this summer.

Multi-tasking is like balancing act,
I wonder sometimes life drains me.
However cleaning my house it put me at peace,
It’s like taking the cobwebs of my mind.

The gutter is clean, the room of my mind is fresh
I smell ‘flower bomb’ my perfume scent.
The mixture of flowers the aroma soaks -
In - caressing - a fresh mesh of my woven cloth.
