Spring Poem by Nancy Amato

Spring

Rating: 4.4

The smell of spring in the air so sweet
Ole mother nature is turning up the heat
As the snowmen slowly melts away
The kids finally get out to play
Next the birds come flocking home
Sunny warm skies under a deep blue dome
Warm breezes rushing through my hair
The sweet smell of flowers in the air
Winters scorched grass sprouts vibrant green
Wonderful smells and sights to be seen
The trees will bud with new born life
With natures ease, no pain or strife
Long hours of darkness will turn to light
A longer day before the twinkling of night
Time to put away the winter coats
Break out the shorts and dust off the boats
