Spring Poem by Gordon D Wilkinson

Spring

Rating: 5.0

Winters umbilical cord of frosty nights
Cut by springs warming razor lights
Plucked from the white canvas so bland
Brilliantly exploded colours emblazoned stand
Heads with hues vivid red, mellow yellows
Oh, how springtime’s voice loudly bellows
Rejoicing happy children’s faces
Dreaming of holidays faraway places
Footprints washed by waves in pearly foam
Beaches golden sands where to roam
Lovers walking hand in hand
Wrapped in the bouquets of loves garland
To be happy young and free
The way love and spring, should always be
