Spitting Blood For A Week Will Make Your Words Taste More Sweet

I take some time from this life
to lose myself in the clouds
tangle my toes in the grass
and fade in and out of reverie
trying to grasp what could not be
to find the rain never pleases
what cannot be drowned
but it rains anyway
and all the people take to shelter
as I smile to myself
another chance to rescue
we are the refuge
