Finish It Off Tonight

you can convince yourself
of just about anything
if you're not sure what you want
not quite sure who you've been
as there's much to be fond
when there's not much at all
but in my head she is loved
as the coast loves a gull
it's far too easy to lie
if for a moment she smiles
I promised forever to be
there for just a while
